I enrolled in this course expecting a specialisation in digital transformation in hospitality. I come from an IT background and expected topics like property management systems, cloud migration, automation, guest-facing technology, data and analytics, and how technology changes hotel operations. That is not what this course delivers. Content does not match the title. The course is almost entirely about business process outsourcing (BPO) in hospitality. It covers deciding which functions to outsource, choosing vendors, managing the transition, and setting SLAs and KPIs. The course’s own project materials refer to it as a “BPO Strategies in Hospitality” course, which suggests the content was written under that title. Digital transformation is barely touched on. A learner who wants DT content will be disappointed, and the title and description should change to reflect what is taught. The BPO content itself is reasonable. The hands-on projects were practical and well-structured. They covered classifying functions as core or non-core, scoring vendors with a weighted matrix, writing transition risk plans, and defining SLAs. If you want a first introduction to outsourcing decisions in hotels, these exercises are useful. They are fairly basic, though, and some slides had formatting problems, such as table headings broken across lines. Audio and language quality were a real problem. English is my first language, and all my settings are in English, so I expected a native English-speaking lecturer. The lecturer was difficult to understand, and I often had to read the transcript to follow the lesson. The grammar was also poor, which made the material harder to follow and took away from the professionalism of the course. Better audio and professionally edited scripts would help a lot. Who it suits. It suits someone who specifically wants an introduction to BPO in hospitality and is comfortable relying on transcripts. It does not suit someone looking for digital transformation, IT strategy or hospitality technology. The BPO exercises have some value, but the course is misleadingly titled, and the delivery was hard to follow. I would recommend renaming it and improving the spoken-English quality.
