What you'll learn

  • Apply the program's frameworks to complete an opportunity assessment, prioritized portfolio, and readiness summary for a realistic manufacturer.

  • Build a roadmap, ROI business case, and governance plan that recommend against ideas the evidence does not support.

  • Integrate separate advisory components into one consistent package and an executive presentation built around a single recommendation.

  • Document your reasoning so the package stands alone as a portfolio piece, hardest finding included.

There are 3 modules in this course

A steering group has asked you for a shortlist of three AI investments to fund. In this first stage of the capstone, you learn why that request asks for the last step first. You join an engagement with a multinational manufacturer whose AI tools range from sanctioned deployments to assistants that teams adopted on their own. You read its client data room the way an advisor does on the first day: you fix the decision, weigh how strong the evidence is before how big the benefit is, and treat what people actually do with a tool as evidence. Then you build the foundation of your advisory package. You assess all eighteen candidate use cases and test the transformation office’s six positions. You summarize what the organization is ready to do and what it is not. You answer the shortlist request with a portfolio scored on criteria you set in advance. Every verdict is one of five, and you argue each one from evidence a reader can check.

Most AI plans fail somewhere between the slide and the shop floor. A step gets scheduled before the thing it depends on exists, a business case counts the saving but not the rework, or a safety review is assigned to someone who has no time to perform it. In this module you build the core of your advisory package for a global manufacturer: a transformation roadmap, an ROI business case, and a governance and risk plan. You begin by testing the roadmap the client already holds, one initiative at a time, and then redraw it across three horizons with a clear gate for every step. You treat a pending four-year platform agreement as a bet on the provider’s finances, not only on its product. You price your priority investment after subtracting the work it shifts onto others, and you test every human review the plan relies on against the load its reviewer actually faces. The three parts check one another, so expect a later part to change an earlier one.

Six sound documents do not make a sound recommendation. Each part of your advisory package was written for its own purpose, and the places where one part quietly assumes what another denies are exactly where no one was responsible for checking. In this module you integrate the six parts into a single package for a global manufacturer’s AI steering group. You read the parts side by side, find each contradiction, and resolve it by changing the part that is wrong. You write a one-page executive summary that opens with your recommendation and closes with decisions the steering group can answer yes or no, and you test each major finding against its strongest objection. You build a six-slide storyboard whose titles alone tell the argument. Finally, you plan how to deliver your hardest finding to the person who least wants to hear it: early, plainly, and with options they can act on.
